ARMIN VAN BUUREN IN CONCERT:
EDM fans have spoken, and veteran Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren is their king. As one of the most popular trance DJs in the world, Van Buuren has topped DJ Magazine's fan poll a record five times, virtually dominating dance music with his unprecedented run at the top of the list from 2007-2010. Following the 2013 release of his fifth album Intense, Van Buuren is once again entrancing fans around the world with his prismatic live shows on the 2014 Armen Only: Intense tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Leiden, Netherlands, Armin Van Buuren began DJing while at university, eventually putting his law degree on hold to pursue music full time. He made his first UK chart appearance at just 19 with "Blue Fear," climbing the charts again several years later with "Communication." By 2001, Van Buuren's marathon sets had earned him a spot on DJ Magazine's Top-100 list, setting the stage for the launch of his hugely popular State of Trance radio show. While his skills as a producer were highlighted on his 2003 full-length debut 76, it was 2008's Imagine that really broke the mold — the album peaked at No. 1 in the Netherlands, a first for a dance music artist in Dutch music history.

Everything about the show was amazing. Armin's set was awesome and at least 4 hrs long. He had great sound, lighting and pyro effects. There were acrocbats and all kinds of singers and dancers joining him on stage. The venue was also good. No long lineups for drinks or washrooms, lots of space to move around. A great atmosphere.

Armin is one of the greatest DJ's EVER because he ALWAYS brings the best performances to his shows. For once, I got to see a show HE produced with the lighting and effects he imagined for his songs. Add the live performers and a great vibe and it made a special show even better! The venue was outstanding with no lines for washrooms and fast entry to the event. Lots of space to dance and great ventilation. I am so happy I attended!
If the song had a violin in it, the violinist was there playing live with the music. If it had vocals, the singers were there singing live. The pianist played, the guitarist strummed and the drummer marched. It was moving, personal and vivid. Money well spent.
Armin Only was something special. Anyone who did not simply missed out. The production was amazing. The live vocals were phenomenal, and the over all event was spectacular. It was everything I could have wanted and more. The only thing is that it longer and/or later would have been nice, but this is not Europe. If you can go, GO! If you love Armin, or love trance in general... it is something that cannot be missed. If you missed Armin Only... well he is always great, so go see him anyway... he has not disappointed me yet.
The show was unbelievable and full of energy. When he started the show at 9pm he played warmed up music and then around 10pm the globe shrunk and you could see Armin. There is live vocal trance, his brother playing guitar and performs doing a performance. Dance for 5 hours and never sat down.
Best night ever. From minute one to closing. The Arena + production + crowd and of course the music were amazing. Armin took me to a special journey that I wont forget
Armin only had great visuals and performances and it was a once in a life time experience. But I thought the event could be a bit longer and went till around 3 or 4am because it seemed too short. I guess time flies when you're having fun :P
It was one unforgettable show! Sound, light, fireworks, acrobats, live performances and of course the genius Armin playing the best tracks. So much positive energy and love was in the air. An epic experience just as amazing as all Armin shows and even better! I won't ever love and admire anyone as much as Armin van Buuren for the inspiration, the best partying time of my life and the great people that are now my friends that I met thanks to him.
I was slightly disappointed with the VIP stage, it was a little far from where Armin was. I would've expect it to be more unique but it wasn't for the price I paid for the VIP tickets. I was looking forward for a higher stage and seat, but there were no seats to sit down. This wasn't cool! I did however took lots of pictures and videos from the concert and posted on Facebook. Overall, Armin's performance was great. Maybe next time, VIP stage can be closer to where the DJ is performing. Thanks to the police and security officers at the event to keep the crowd well under control. Thanks also to the crowds for behaving themselves. Had tons of fun with my nephew there.
All in all, I loved everything about Armin's Intense show! His visuals especially. I really felt like I was in a magical world and his trance melodies blew me away!
This was the ultimate display of what Armin is all about! From the vocalists performing some of his most popular tracks live, to the incredible light show and background screen to the live drummer and guitarist, this was a spectacle anyone can enjoy, dance music fan or not! There were also live dancers and acrobats and amazing pyrotechnics too. He masterfully wove so many different artists and genres together to make the most diverse and balanced set I have ever heard! All hail the master!!
Armin is the #1 trance DJ in the world for a reason.

metro convention center was a great complex for this event so happy it was done there. there was room, air, sound system was good, access to drinks, the stage was amazigggg . Loved everything about this event one of the best shows iv seen in toronto hands down!!!
I was so happy when Armin Van buuren played my favorite songs. His set gave me the feels. The only thing I did not like was Ticketmaster did not offer to show ticket using passbook.
Great experience, much more than going to see a DJ mix and spin... lots of live vocals, musicians and performers.

I saw Armin van Buuren for the very first time at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre as part of his Armin Only: Intense Tour. It was also the very first EDM show to take place at MTCC. Overall, the show was very well run and organized. I think more EDM shows should take place there now that city council banned EDM events from Exhibition Place and the Rogers Centre is, in my opinion, too vast for EDM shows to take place. The show started at 9:00 PM. During the first hour, Armin played slower, more ambient style music but as the show went on, the intensity built up. Throughout the five hours set, Armin played many songs from Intense, Mirage, songs from other artists, etc. He also had live musicians with him that made numerous appearances throughout the show, including his brother Eller van Buuren on guitar, a drummer in which, at one point in the show, played a long drum solo, a bassist and a pianist. Plus, he had six live singers, which were Trevor Guthrie, Cindy Alma, Fiora, Laura Jansen, Lauren Evans and Richard Bedford. Finally, there were dancers, which all of them really added to the show. Great production and the sound was overall, very good. I would go see Armin again but his Armin Only: Intense show will be tough to beat.
