About

Taking the world by storm, MAYHEM continues to dominate the charts. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking Gaga’s seventh consecutive No. 1 album. In its second week, it remains one of the biggest releases of the year, maintaining Top 2 positions across key charts including No. 2 on the Billboard 200, Digital Albums, and US LP Vinyl Albums charts. It also retains the No. 1 spot on both the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart and the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart for the second consecutive week—the latter of which earned Gaga her eighth career No. 1 on the tally, making her the most successful artist of all time in the chart’s history. She now stands alone with the most No. 1 albums ever on the Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
The fastest-selling international release of the year, MAYHEM debuted at No. 1 in 12 countries, including the U.S., UK, Germany, Japan, Italy, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, and South Korea, and landed at No. 2 in the Netherlands and Sweden—further cementing Gaga’s global dominance. “Abracadabra” entered the UK Singles Chart at No. 3 and the UK Airplay Chart at No. 2, while in France, MAYHEM posted the biggest first-week sales since Born This Way. In Japan, it ranked among the biggest international albums in recent years; in Finland, it was the only international album to crack the Top 10; and in Ireland, three MAYHEM tracks landed in the Top 40—reinforcing its worldwide impact.

In its first week alone, MAYHEM amassed over 240 million streams worldwide, marking her biggest streaming week ever. It also marked her biggest vinyl week to date, with 74,000 units sold across 14 collectible variants, some of which featured exclusive bonus tracks like “Kill for Love” and “Can’t Stop the High.” The digital edition of the album includes music videos for “Die With a Smile,” “Disease,” and “Abracadabra,” all of which helped fuel the album’s massive first week impact.

“Die With a Smile,” Gaga’s collaboration with Bruno Mars, continues to break records, holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Global 200 chart for a 13th consecutive week. With more than 100 million streams worldwide each week, the track is now tied for the third-longest-running No. 1 in chart history.

MAYHEM marks a return to Gaga’s pop roots, reaffirming that she is a master of reinvention, crafting an album that is as bold and eclectic as it is deeply personal. A declaration of artistic freedom, it embraces the fractured pieces of oneself and how they come together to form something unexpected and beautiful. The album mirrors this concept with its diverse sonic palette and thematic layers, combining elements of chaos, defiance, and vulnerability into a cohesive artistic statement. Gaga describes this process as assembling a shattered mirror: “Even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something memorable and whole in its own way.

  • Lady Gaga is the new pop icon!

by Soulshock on 2009-07-16Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Lady Gaga has risen as the new pop icon. Her show is fantastic, she is a true artist and can put on quite a show. I can't wait to see what she is going to do next.

  • completed my life.

by vdoll on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

well between the costume changes and heel banging piano playing, she was by far the best performer ive ever seen live. She is very strange, but in the most mesmerizing way. comparable to freddie mercury of queen-- and that says alot! there was one issue though... she was scheduled to start at 8 and came out at 10:45!! that sucked. crowd get very anxious. She was somewhat sexual...I would've been uncomfortable with anyone under 14. overall, fantastic!

  • got my poker face on at lady gaga!!!

by boyfix on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

she has catchy tunes... she's allover the radio and on tv... but after seeing her perform live, there is no doubt that lady gaga is one of today's leading edge performers. down to earth and thankful for all her fans, (particularly her canadian ones), she really can work an audience to a frenzy. she is innovative and creative. there is certainly no one like her and her haus of gaga!!! she sang an acapella version of poker face wearing a bubble dress and playing on a bubble piano!!! my favourite parts included her talking about wanting to be a star and her wishes for the audience to be stars too, her thoughts on prop 8 and ending with poker face while sprawled on a speaker right beside me!!! gotta love it!!! she rocked at the mmva's too, but who didn't already hear about that one!!! the kool haus has to be the best venue in town... u can see the show from virtually anywhere and there is a bar every which way u turn. i was a fan of lady gaga before the show, but now i am just gaga for lady gaga!!!

  • The Lady made us go Gaga

by vivido on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Although the show started very late, it was worth the wait. Lady Gaga sang, danced, posed and even smoked for about 10 seconds and in every single moment and song she was wonderful.

  • Too long of a wait!

by forreal on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

I waited 3 hours long for a 1 hour performance from her. The wait was terrible. Her performance was pretty good and she sounded pretty good live. The standing wasn't worth it.

  • Absolutey Amazing!

by KHearts on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Such a great performer, just amazing. Don't knock her till you try her :P

gaga was great and the venue (kool haus) has a fun vibe. Although, the concert started much later than scheduled Too late

  • FAME going to head

by nprice on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

Waited one hour to get into Kool Haus, then waited another hour and forty-five minutes before she came on to stage. There was no opening act to keep us entertained and when she came on to stage the sound quality was very poor. The crowd also became restless and pushy after waiting so long. The performance was overall a disapointment and nothing special. Will definately rethink seeing a Lady Gaga performance. Only worth it if you buy a VIP ticket.

  • Gaga was incredible

by zeto on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was amazing. It had it all ! She sang extremely well, played piano, danced, and had a mini-movie for the concert. The songs were sung in a way that told a story and were nicely complimented by her videos. As an entire production it was the best concert I've ever seen - for pure entertainment.

  • Gaga takes Toronto

    by Adogg76 on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

It was a great show, except for the technical glitch that meant the opening DJ set was cut short and we then waited for Lady Gaga for another hour and 20 minutes. She was amazing, costumes were awesome, sound was great, choreography and dancers were excellent. I wasn't super familiar with her music other than the songs on the radio but I loved it. Went out the next day and bought her cd and have been listening to it ever since. Its was a great opportunity to see her live in a venue that small, surely the next time we see her here in Toronto it will be in a much larger, more expensive venue, like Massey Hall or the Molson Ampitheatre.

  • I wish I could forget it

by notworthgoing on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

It was very hot and everyone around you was standing too close. You were getting sweat on by people touching you on all four sides. There was NO opening act. There was a DJ which could have been fun to dance to but you were standing on top of the people around you so instead you stood still. The opening act was over an hour and a half. Once she was on stage her concert was good. I saw it in Kitchener and loved it. It was also cheaper to see her in Kitchener and the floor sloped down so that you could see her when she was on stage. I ended up giving up and dancing to the side. I did not see any of the concert. Pick your venue carefully. She is very talented but with no opening act and the sardine wait it was totally not worth it.

  • Rude, rude, rude!

by Callah on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

Doors opened at 8, and around 9ish a DJ came on stage. After about 30 minutes, the turntables stopped working and a generic mix was played. There were no openers, and the crowd was hot and sweaty and cramped... yet Lady Gaga did not come on stage til nearly 11pm, almost 3 hours later! Apparently she was having a great time chilling with Perez Hilton backstage while we were all suffering and even booing the empty stage. The "Candy Warhol" vids were just weird, not suitable for a concert environment. Also, she talked WAY too much between songs about random crap. She must have been high the way she was acting, or else she is just generally weird. The actual performances were good, when she stopped talking, but everything combined just kind of ruined the whole night... not to mention my general perspective of her. When I hear her songs now, I just get angry thinking about her rudeness.

  • 6/10 inconsistent show

by funnboy on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Gaga has raw talent. She rocked it. She sang well when she sang, she danced well when she danced, but too much off stage time, and a little too much chatting. Koolhaus is a crap venue for a show like this. It was too dark, stage too small, and no real show for everyone to see – only if you were up close. Once Gaggs is BIG famous, she'll have a huge show and dancers and pyro, but until then... I only spend $25 bux.

  • ROCKED!

    by jbarry1 on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

i cannot wait to go back and see her. even though she was 2 hours late - it was totally worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • a must see

lady gaga has a great show, she went on a little late, but whatever she's amazing!!!

  • Are you kidding me?!

by Alexander on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

WORST SHOW EVER.. GAGA MADE EVERY1 WAIT 3 HOURS TO DO A 45 MINUTE SET LIST!!! People were passing out all around us from the heat from the venue- the WORST WORST WORST EVER!!!!

  • When it finally started....

by alwayssleepy on 2009-07-15Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The doors opened at 8 and Lady Gaga didn`t come on stage until 10:45. The opening act was lame and played for all of 30 minutes. This wouldn`t have been so bad if we were at a venue with seats but standing room only made the waiting horrible. My feet and back were killing my by the time she came out.My friends and I had talked about leaving and if we had to wait much longer we most likely would have. All of that for her to play for one hour. Was it worth it...still not so sure.
