Like a small-town Ukrainian dance recital, just on a fancier, larger scale! Very authentic, with a sense of the holiday season. The venue (Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium) was beautiful! Very nice setting. This will be a must-see for next year!
Beautifully artistic first half complemented by a tremendous display of fun and passion through dance after the intermission. Would highly recommend it. Amazing pageantry and athleticism from all the talented dancers.
It was an absolutely delightful experience. The dancers were all superb. Will have to make it an annual tradition.
Shumka’s Nutcracker was dazzling! The dancing, the costumes, the music, the energy! It was a lovely evening and a wonderful show. We will go again!
We loved the recent Shumka Dancers' Nutcracker performance at the Jubilee Auditorium. It was easy to purchase and download the tickets, and our seats were excellent. But the main reason we enjoyed the afternoon was the dancing. All the dancers from the smallest to the experienced were outstanding. Thank you so much for helping make our Christmas a little more special.
The dancers were amazing, the audience was animated and the experience was electric. A high light of our pre Christmas experience.
Sorry, Ballet is not for me. Sometimes you have to experience something to realize its just not your cup of tea. The costumes were great. I could appreciate the athletics involved. However, I prefer to see the Ukrainian dancers perform to Ukrainian music. Same with the Irish dancers. Lots of people in the auditorium really enjoyed it. I just wasn't one of them.
We drove up from another city to see this show and it was completely worth it. Loved the interpretation of the Nutcracker with the Ukrainian dancers and carollers framing it. Beautiful and spirited and with local flavour. It was wonderful to see and participate in something so alive.
The Shumka dancers are always enjoyable and this performance did not disappoint. It was 732 days since they last performed on that stage so it was extra special for all. They threw in some new dance numbers in this Nutcracker performance and you could tell with their energy they were just so happy to be back. If you have never seen the Nutcracker or usually see the ballet version, this one is a must see. It is absolutely spectacular.
The Shumka's Nutcracker's team put on a wonderful performance. The personalities of the dancers shone through, along with their athleticism, making for an amazing production. Thank you for another great performance! Looking forward to next year!
This was the first time I went and I loved it. It was worth every penny and I will attend every year from here on in.
The dancing was incredible and the costumes were spectacular. I loved the audience participation...you don't see that in the traditional nutcracker. The sets were also very well done.
This performance was one of the best things I’ve ever seen! The dancers were top notch, the costumes were absolutely stunning, the choir was amazing. My Mom, sister and I absolutely loved it!
The ballet was incredible and combined with the energy and colourful costumes of the Shumka’s dancers made it a memorable world class event. I can’t stop talking about it to everyone.

I had a problem demonstrating my e-tickets, the employee on the third floor sent me to the main floor for help. given my health condition it was very inconvenient, it would be great if your employees mastered the methods of providing assistance to clients on the spot without sending them to the only employee for help
