It was a good show. Warms the heart tremendously. The choir was phenomenal and the melody was definitely from heaven. My only critic would be that they perform more African songs and less Western songs. We are paying to have a different experience, and singing Western songs just feels like I should have stayed home and gone on YouTube.

  • Soweto Gospel Choir Elevates The Soul

by FredinTO on 2015-12-07Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

A wonderful night of peace happiness and joy brought to and involving us by the Soweto Gospel Choir. I feel privileged to have had the experience and will be back next time they are here. Only critical comment is that we were asked not to take pictures which I can understand but also disappoints. In this social media age SGC should understand that their best marketing tool is fans sharing photos with friends. I recommend that the choir allow photos to be taken during one or two songs each concert and accommodate it with appropriate lighting during those songs.

  • Sing in English - It's North America

by ThePowerofOne on 2014-02-25Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The Show was too short and not enough English. I listen to the Sowato Choir on Youtube and I have CDs with them which are much more enjoyable. I was disappointed mainly because of the language in which they perform. I was expecting more.
